The Anticipation (and packing) Begins

So many last minute things to do!! But I know it will all come together, because I know that God has great things in store for us in St. Petersburg.

What you need to know:
Our team will be made up of myself, Anne Brasier (first time trip participant from Downsville, Louisiana), Jonathon Furr (this will be his third trip to St.P), and Sasha Newman (adopted from Russia when she was 9 - this is her first trip back to her homeland).
During week one we will be doing daily ministry at Child in Danger Shelter Monday-Friday, ending on Friday with a movie day (we'll get to watch the new Chipmunks movie in Russian - now THAT is fun!).
Also during week one we will be having nightly Bible study with the families of Road of Life Ministries and having dinner one evening with our dear friends, John and Karen Bull (missionaries to St.P).
During week two Sasha will join John Neese and his Russian son Sergei for ministry in Sosnova (a village north of St.P), while Anne and I will be going to Orphanage #27 (also in a village outside of St.P) and doing ministry with a new family home that houses 6 young women who are pregnant. God has given us a wonderful opportunity to join in the ministry to these young women and their Christian counselor, Alla, and I can hardly wait to get to meet them all and begin developing a Christian family relationship with them (and sharing with them that there truly are no orphans of God!!).

Keep us in your prayers as we begin our journey, and watch this blog for more information during our two weeks in St. Petersburg, Russia.

From Ruston (headed to Russia) with Love!
Nancy
